quotable quotes from the US President

Here are some pretty interesting quotes from our beloved Malaysian opps.. US President :

There is not a Black America and a White America and Latino America and Asian America; there’s the United States of America

Go 1Malaysia (or whatever it means)!

When people are judged by merit, not connections, then the best and the brightest can lead the country, people will work hard, and the entire economy will grow – everyone will benefit and more resources will be available for all, not just select groups.

this sounds pretty familiar to a lot of my amigos…

Whenever I write a letter to a family who has lost a loved one in Iraq, or read an e-mail from a constituent who has dropped out of college because her student aid has been cut, I’m reminded that the actions of those in power have enormous consequences – a price that they themselves almost never have to pay.

Very true. How many times those in power has actually use mass transport to work on daily basis? Kick my ass if you can name one in Malaysia. There is this standard reply that “the ones in power need to travel efficiently and comfortably in order for them to be able to serve the people. The standard reply to that is “How can you feel the pain of a wife died while her purse was snatched when she was crossing the road, if your wife never walk on the road like everyone else did?”

rumors of reason why internet / streamyx is slow in Borneo

Malaysia’s first Scorpene submarine sailled to Sabah a few days ago.

The KD Tunku Abdul Rahman (TAR) apparently sailled from naval base at Pulau Indah Selangor to Sabah. Most probably it knocked onto the submarine fibre-optic cables that seriously impaired internet speed in Borneo.

p/s : this is just a joke :)
